Editorial and research independence
Syria Registry works independently of government, funders, and other interested parties. Financial or institutional support does not determine editorial or research findings.
The platform may cooperate with public institutions to obtain information or understand procedures without surrendering independent evaluation or giving any institution approval rights over findings.
Evidence-based publication
Consistent publication thresholds apply, and no record is published without a valid evidence path. Documented information, analysis, and recommendations remain distinct, and evidence limitations are stated clearly.
Human review and responsibility
Editors and researchers remain responsible for classification, interpretation, and publication decisions. Technical tools may help organize material, but they do not generate verified conclusions automatically.
Corrections and traceability
Source-supported correction requests are accepted. Records are reviewed and updated when sufficient evidence is available, while change history and source traceability are preserved. Send requests to:
Conflicts of interest
Material conflicts that could affect the assessment of a record, source, or research conclusion are expected to be disclosed and handled through internal editorial procedures.
Source integrity and data stewardship
The platform preserves source trails and data integrity and prevents removal of the final valid evidence path from a published record. A source changing or disappearing prompts review; it does not automatically erase its record.
Transparency about limitations
Incomplete coverage is not the same as unreliable evidence, and missing information is not evidence of wrongdoing. Legal authority does not prove that oversight occurred, and a document’s presence does not by itself establish current legal validity.
Organizational governance
These are current working principles. Broader organizational structures and external governance arrangements remain future ambitions and will not be described as established before they exist and are publicly announced.
